Karma is a Bitch

Just stopped by to encourage you to be vigilant. I was driving yesterday when a car pulled out in front of me unexpectedly. I had to slam on my brakes to avoid hitting it. Within seconds someone returned the favor to that person. I'm telling you the universe is always watching. For every action there is a consequence.

It happens sometimes right away. And sometimes you have to wait a little bit. But as sure as my name is Yáminah it always comes back to you. So do good to people.  Treat people how you would like to be treated. Don't cut them off in traffic because someone will return the favor and at times in spades. I'm just saying - I got issues, what about you?)i(

Consciousness Tip: It All begins In Your Mind

As a society we have been conditioned to operate out of fear. We are motivated to action on what might happen, ie get health insurance in case you get sick, get home alarm in case someone brakes in, etc. Doctors tell us that we are prone to certain diseases because it "runs" in our family. Some women have not been able to have children because someone planted a seed of fear/doubt in their mind that they can not conceive. 

Some people are struggling with health issues because they believe it runs in their family and sure enough it came upon them. EVERYTHING you believe manifests itself in your life - good or bad. Your success or failure begins in your mind. If you believe you will be successful regardless of the task, you will be successful. Likewise if you believe you will not be successful, that will be your reality. 

Do yourself a favor and start believing you will be successful no matter the circumstance. Regardless of what people may say or how the situation may look, if you believe it is possible it will manifest. 

Stop letting fear and people's opinion dictate your level of success. Dare to have and do the impossible. Start believing in you. I'm just saying, I got issues - what about you?)i(

To Halloween or Not To Halloween - What's the Question?

The other day was Halloween and what a great day it was. I woke up and that's what was up. I normally had a negative opinion about Halloween in the past - well really all pagan holidays - but I was tripping about something that really was not mines to trip about. I was going with other people's opinion. But in my quest for truth I've discovered that I really don't care one way or the other. It is not my job to police what holidays people want to celebrate regardless of its origin.  Everyone has the right to choose what they want to celebrate including me. So celebrate or don't celebrate - I don't care. Do what makes you happy because I am. I'm just saying - I got issues - what about you?)i(

Experian Boost - Behind the Hype

I saw a commercial the other night promoting boosting your credit score instantly with Experian Boost. Apparently they are the only ones offering to use normally not reported payment history to boost your credit score, i.e., your rent, cellphone, and utilities etc. Sound great so I started to do it but as soon as they asked for access to my bank account an alarm went off in my head. Something about sharing my username and password for my bank account with complete strangers, no matter how well intended they may, be just didn't sit right with me.

Further research only yielded other pros and cons. Some of which did not sway me to try it. Still uncomfortable about sharing my bank log in information. Surely there is a better way to collect this information. How about making it where utility companies start sharing people's payment history with the credit bureau? 30 plus years of paying utilities should count for something especially when there was no break in service.

This may work for you, but for me I will pass especially when you consider all the cyber hacking being reported. This would put my bank account at risk and leave me with one more thing to worry about. It's a chance I am just not willing to take no matter what. So I guess I will just be going through normal channels to improve my credit score. I'm just saying - I got issues, what about you?)i(

Circle of Friends

Sometimes it feels like my circle of friends keep getting smaller as time goes by, but it's okay.  People come and people go. So not a problem. 

The problem comes when you try to foster friendships or keep people in your circle who don't have your best interest at heart. All they really want is to suck up your goodness and drain your energy.  

Sometimes you just have to walk your journey alone and leave people go their way. 

Actually the best thing you can do for yourself is to learn to enjoy your own damn company. Your happiness should not be tied to people, places or things. 

It should come from within. When you can enjoy your own company, you have arrived at your destination. I'm just saying - I got issues, what about you? )i(

Cellphone Glitch or Mysterious Text

Woke up this morning to a very disturbing mystery. While speaking to my cousin she asked what I was doing up at 2am.  I told her I was fast asleep, to which she shared that she received a text message from me after 2 this morning. Again I told her that was impossible. Perhaps she misread who the message was from. She was very adamant that it was from me and she proceeded to read the message word for word - "call me if you can talk...". As she was reading the message I checked my message feed and discovered no such message.  Curious to see for myself I asked her to send me a screenshot of the message knowing that it would reveal an error on her part. To be fair, I also sent her a screenshot of my message feed so she can see for herself. Sure enough her screenshot shows a message from my phone as she stated. Imagine my dismay and confusion. I stared at the screenshot in disbelief. How could this be? Do I have a ghost in my house? I know I've been on an intense spiritual walk lately and lots of unexplained stuff has been happening in my life, but this? What could possibly account or explain this mystery. Determined to get to the bottom of this mystery I called my cellphone carrier #tmobile. I shared my concerns about the mystery text and discovered the culprit responsible for the odd event.

Turns out that T-Mobile updated their towers this morning and as a result any text messages that were stuck in the towers were released.  So if you are a T-Mobile customer you may have received a text around 2am or been told, like me, that you sent a text around that time.

The rep Sarah - who was sweet as pie - informed me that they received similar complaints from other customers who shared they too received messages. Some were even wishing them happy Valentine's Day.  So for all of you who argued with your mate because you refused to believe them when they said they texted you now you know. In fact, that can be applied across the board. Anyone who said they sent a text and you never got it, that was because it got held up in the towers or as I like to say, "it got held up in cyberspace." 

Sarah apologized profusely for any inconvenience this may have caused and also asked me to apologize to my cousin if the text disturbed her sleep in anyway. As I shared with Sarah, mines was harmless but what about the customers who may have recently lost a loved one and may have gotten a text from seemingly beyond the grave? Can you imagine the emotional chaos they experienced? I know I would plum right lose my mind. Oh but wait. What if this is not just limited to text messages? What if voice messages were also held up and were released last night? Think about the far reaching effects of that. 

Hopefully T-Mobile will take steps to avoid this type of incident from recurring or at the very least warn customers in advance of the potential side effects of updating their towers by putting something out in the media to explain what happened or could happen so people are not left to come up with their own explainations. I'm just saying - I got issues, what about you?)i(

Blacks - What Are They Known For? Really - What?

Just saw this post and had to add my 2 cents. I've been saying this for years - Every other race have a plan/goal for themselves. People of color are the only ones who support/build every other race up financially and have nothing of our own. When will we wake up and start doing for ourselves? We have been programmed to believe in something outside of ourselves and there lies the problem. 

Don't get me wrong. I believe 100% that there is a Higher Power/Creator but I also believe He/Her is in me and I am in Him/Her. As a result I can do all things. We've been exploited as a people because of our inability to get up from under the belief that what is happening to us is God's will, destiny or fate. Quit blaming God or the devil for your screw ups/success. Whatever is happening to you was brought about by you - your actions, your thoughts. The minute you start taking responsibility for your shit - watch your life improve. Thoughts become things and you get what you expect. So think good thoughts and always, always expect the best. I'm just saying. I got issues - what about you?)i(
